Chill Elopement Process: Jaimie and Emily

As your elopement day approaches, it’s easy to get caught up in the details and stress yourself out. With an intense mixture of emotions and logistics, we completely understand how you and your partner might end up feeling overwhelmed. However, with the right team and healthy mindset, we assure you that your elopement can be filled with peace, relaxation, and love. Today we will be shining the spotlight on our Tapestry couple, Emily and Jaimie! These two lovely people are the perfect example of trusting the process and having confidence with your planning team.

TRUST THE PROCESS.

Our story with Emily and Jaimie began when we were looking for a couple to do a styled shoot in Central Washington, and these two delightfully volunteered! We worked with the outstanding Laura from Forthright Photo, who was already hired to shoot their elopement. Emily and Jaimie took advantage of this opportunity and decided to practice their poses, get comfortable in front of the camera, and get to know Laura personally. This took a huge weight of their shoulders, as they already had one of the major aspects of the elopement mastered. Now, we know that not everyone has the option to do a shoot prior to their celebration. Our advice to those who may feel anxious about photos is setting up a meeting with your photographer, via coffee date or a Zoom call! Your relationship with your photographer is important, and learning how you flow with each other before the big day can be incredibly helpful. Set clear boundaries about what you are comfortable with, poses you like and anything else that you want to capture on your special day.

After working together on the styled shoot, Emily and Jaimie loved Tapestry’s approach and hired us to plan their elopement! We were ecstatic; their cool energy was unmatched so we were down to work with them from the beginning. As the planning process started, there were many details that the couple wanted to tie into their day, which may seem worrying to some that it won’t be executed properly. However, Emily and Jaimie put their FULL trust into Tapestry and let us take the wheel. We curated a personalized timeline, communicated with all the vendors, and they even let us choose their location. The vendor team had full creative freedom, which is what ended up making their day so unique and beautiful. For example, the photographer had shown up to their ceremony early to scout the area, and ended up choosing a different spot that Emily and Jaimie loved even more!

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

Their ceremony came together effortlessly, and their day was magical, peaceful, and filled with comfort. Emily and Jaimie are two nurses who wanted to fully immerse themselves in this experience and escape the stress of their day jobs during the pandemic. The two took off work for a couple days prior and after their elopement, so they were fully able to embark on this journey together, stress free! After their celebration, they finally honeymooned on Hood River as a gorgeous married couple!

We are so thankful that we got the chance to work with such an amazing group of people! Emily and jaimie’s laid-back personalities and adaptive attitudes allowed a space for honesty and creativity within the team. We hope you can see the beauty in trusting your professionals, and how important it is to have an expert by your side during one of the biggest days of your life. Your elopement day is about love and your story. Everything else will be handled by a team of professionals that you have complete confidence in!
