The couple: Tiffany + Reed

We love it when intention-based couples find us! Right away, we could tell that Tiffany and Reed would be the best partners in this wedding planning process.

Tiffany and Reed’s love story is rooted in creativity, culture, and a deep connection to their communities. With Tiffany’s Taiwanese heritage and Reed’s Pacific Northwest upbringing, they wanted their Seattle destination wedding weekend to reflect these two rich traditions. Tiffany, a Chief of Staff in Boston, and Reed, an architect building their future home in Seattle, are both designers by trade. They envisioned a minimalist, meaningful celebration that would allow their friends and family to fall in love with the beauty of Seattle while honoring their cultural backgrounds with thoughtful touches.

As a couple who cherish simple joys, like running with their dog Nori or cooking together, they wanted to create an inclusive, memorable experience for their guests, emphasizing connection, community, and the beauty of life's small moments.

The Vision: shared values, minimalism, and custom art

Tiffany and Reed wanted their wedding to be more than just a celebration—it had to reflect who they are. One of the standout features of their wedding was a custom-commissioned art installation, revealed during the ceremony, that represented their shared values and the significant places they’ve lived. The minimalist décor included chiffon art pieces and strategically placed lighting by LightSmiths, transforming the venue from ceremony to reception. Custom furniture rentals from Great Jones and vibrant floral arrangements provided an elegant yet understated atmosphere, making every moment feel thoughtfully curated.

I'm always so proud of what our Tapestry team accomplishes. Tapestry’s seamless planning shone through every aspect of the weekend. Guests frequently commented that this was one of the most organized and engaging weddings they had ever attended. Vendors praised Tapestry’s clear and respectful communication throughout the process, which allowed everything to flow smoothly on the big day. Tiffany and Reed also appreciated our tech-forward planning experience, how we treated each member of the couple as an equal participant, and that we presented the best-fit options for their vision. Weekend Highlights from a Bainbridge Islandwood Wedding

We love when couples want to invest in a full wedding weekend of activities for their guests! It makes the wedding day itself have less pressure as you know there will be other times during the weekend you get to hang out with guests.

One of our goals at Tapestry is to be the best on sight support for our couples whole weekend. We were present to manage rental deliveries and placement on Friday, proactively manage weather contingencies with vendors on Saturday, and run the show into open dancing Saturday evening. We’re there through it all!

Day 1: The weekend kicked off with a private tour of Reed and Tiffany’s new home in Seattle, where Reed has been tirelessly working on its construction. This intimate gathering set the tone for the weekend, allowing close family and friends to get a glimpse of their life and future.

Day 2: Guests arrived to a warm welcome and a series of fun, inclusive activities on Bainbridge Island. Tiffany and Reed wanted their loved ones to fall in love with the Pacific Northwest and Friday’s itinerary showcased the island’s charm.

Day 3: Guests spent the morning and early afternoon opting into a mixture of outdoors activities on the IslandWood campus and around Bainbridge Island. The wedding day was full of personalized touches, from the custom art reveal during the ceremony to the gourmet plant-based menu served at dinner which was made even more special with an introduction by IslandWood Chef. A special boba tea bar, a nod to Tiffany’s Taiwanese roots, and a fruit cake for dessert were unique culinary highlights (the whole weekend was full of amazing food! We love it!). The day transitioned into a lively celebration with a mix of live music—from a harpist and guitarist during guest arrival, to acoustic guitar at cocktail hour, to live band, Sway, for the dance floor.

Day 4: Farewell brunch with congee!

Tiffany and Reed’s priority was ensuring their guests felt engaged and entertained throughout the weekend. Activities were carefully curated for all ages and abilities, creating community among their friends and family. We love when couples care about the wedding guest experience as much as we do!
