Tapestry Event Co.'s COVID-19 Company Policy

As planners, there has never been a more important time for the support our jobs or our work give to the wedding and elopement community. Our focus usually rests on streamlined logistics and beautiful details. Since the emergence of COVID-19 and the corresponding public health measures to keep our community safe, our job has become so much more than a styled tablescape and making sure drunk bridal party members don’t hog the microphone. Not only have we spent our weeks in 1:1 consults with our clients to create custom decision-making timelines and solutions, we’ve also spent our days cultivating resources that benefit couples everywhere. But it’s also important to pause and put to words what we, as a company, are committed to as we move through this new environment with our people. So here is how Tapestry sees the road ahead and where the heart of our work remains…

OUR ROLE TODAY.

We stay briefed on the latest news about COVID-19 and the impact it has on local, state, and national mandate. We abide by the rule of law and set a good example for the wedding and elopement community by abstaining from large gatherings and by maintaining safe social distancing as long as the various phases and mandates holds.

We stand for love, honesty, and curiosity in an effort to understand how this virus uniquely affects each of us. We lend perspective and lead with listening to co-create solutions for you, our clients. We remain flexible and open-minded so that we can work with all people and all needs to adapt our shared vision with care and precision.

OUR ROLE TOMORROW.

We will not pass the burden of this virus on to our clients. We are honoring timely and mindful requests to reschedule each celebration without fees as long as we are available. We value partnering with you to determine a decision-making timeline, as well as being an active part of your decision-making process.

We hold space for you to process the adaptation of your vision. After a reschedule, we will not immediately dive into fresh planning meetings with you. Rather, we will secure and renegotiate the ground we’ve made thus far, then give you time and energy to focus on the friends and family who need your support. Your plans are safe; use this space to provide the love and care that only you are capable of creating in your community.

OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE.

We believe that the only way through uncertain times is together. We at Tapestry have always conducted our business in a manner that safeguards the future. Our team and our services will survive whatever may come. And we will make it through this time together, as a team.

Our focus this past spring and early summer pivoted from day-of execution to training. We are actively investing in each member of our Tapestry Team. We are doing paid trainings in key planning skills. We are developing curriculum and shadow opportunities so that the team can build on their event experience and become ambassadors of the Tapestry experience. By June 2021, we will have a team full of confident, semi-autonomous planner/coordinators who can handle the delayed 2020 and increased 2021 demand for our heartfelt services with the same attention to detail that we promise our community. What a future that will be!

YOUR PART.

Continue to cultivate your love for each other and your community. Invest mindfully in small businesses when you have the resources. Wash your hands with good-smelling soap. Welcome the new faces and voices on our video chats with friendship; these humans are committed to elevating your experience and making the celebration of love possible for all who seek it when we’re allowed to gather again. Take time every day to nourish yourself, move your body, and connect with another human being. And reach out to us when you feel called to do so. We are here for you and we cherish our role in your journey.

Thank you for your love and your trust,

The Tapestry Team
