+ DO YOU PLAN ELOPEMENTS NOT IN NATURE?
We sure do! Our process is not solely for those looking to elope adventurously (though our PNW backyard certainly lends itself to that kind of scenery). Some of our favorite elopements have been city-based excursions. Our very first planning meeting dives into choosing a location that is the right fit for your interests and values. We believe in tailoring an epic elopement day to your desires, wherever that might lead us. We are planners and community builders first, travelers and adventurers second.
+ What budgets do you typically work with?
An elopement budget can vary in scale depending on how many services you’re hiring. Our services are best leveraged with budgets of $15,000 and above for Pacific Northwest adventures. That $15,000 typically covers the cost of planning and coordination, photography, two personal floral items, hair and makeup, officiating, and accommodations/travel. Often, our couples opt to add services like videography, catering and dessert, or other decorations and rentals. We find that $25,000 is a healthy budget for any Pacific Northwest elopement and that we can scale up depending on where your vision and financial priorities rest. For destination locations, we recommend a budget of $35,000 or more to cover the increased cost of travel for you and your vendors.
+ What is the difference between an elopement + an intimate wedding?
A great question! TLDR: We define an elopement as just two people plus up to two witnesses.
Depending on who you ask, you may get a different answer. That’s because there is no “industry standard” definition and, with the accelerated boom of elopements in 2020, many new service providers jumped in with a borrowed definition. The key distinction to our planner brains is that an elopement doesn’t require a large effort at managing guest attendance and communication. That is one of the biggest benefits of eloping — you can stay focused on just the two of you without having to take an entire group of guests into consideration! If that’s you, then we’d love to see you fill out an elopement application. If you are bringing guests along on the adventure, then we recommend bopping over to our Weddings page. We pride ourselves on planning weddings of all sizes and our Partial Planning package is the most popular fit for our friends hosting intimate sized affairs.
+ What if we want to bring a few guests on the adventure?
We think that's great! If your guests are a low-key addition who are along for the elopement ride with the two of you, then we simply charge an additional fee per head to cover the cost of our time spent managing additional attendants. That fee is $100 per person for Pacific Northwest elopements and $300 per person for destination elopements. If inviting guests means that your elopement transitions to a small wedding--often including invitations and guest management, a more involved reception and expanded team of vendors to support--then you belong over on our Weddings page.
+ When do you recommend we plan to elope in the PNW?
We encourage our couples to elope during the week. Prices are better, competition for artists and services is less severe, and there are fewer people around to mess with the vibe. If you want to elope in nature and plan for sunshine, we recommend a day in the months of July through mid-September for the best possible weather. That said, we love a seasonal theme and any couple that is down for snow or shoulder season weather is a couple we also want to work with.
+ What destinations outside of the Pacific Northwest do you offer?
If you can dream it, we can build it. We've created elopement proposals for destinations all over the West Coast, select destinations on the East Coast, Mexico, Italy, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, and Spain. We know how to resource the best experience, when to tap into local experts, and where to look for professionals to support your vision. We look forward to seeing where our couples will take us next!
