Working with Kate and the Tapestry team was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the start, we never felt like just another couple on their list of clients. Kate took the time to really get to know us. She made sure she understood our vision for our wedding, but also helped foster our own understanding of what the marriage meant to both of us. She helped us focus on what was important to us and why, which led to us feeling great about our decisions and staying true to what we valued for the day. She kept us grounded and organized, which is hard to do from states away and with my ADHD (squirrel!) tendencies. Kate has a beautiful way of balancing professionalism and organization with humor and kindness, so that nothing feels stressful, pressured, or difficult. Simply seeing the Tapestry team the day before our wedding helped calm my anxieties. Their calm control of all the details made it easy for me to relax and enjoy the day. I could type an entire essay on how much I loved working with Kate and all the ways she helped make my wedding day a beautiful celebration. But instead, I’ll give the TLDR and say Kate is a fabulous human and organizational boss who you definitely want to work with!

Kate and her team get shit done. They do it in a way that makes it all not only look easy, but fun, and with a personal touch that makes you feel as though she’s not not gone to this level for anyone else. Kate wants to know you, as an individual, as a couple, and is as genuine as they come. She ensures every single part of your wedding aligns with your ideals, values, and visions. Kate and her team show up in a way you don’t know they are there, but certainly know they took care of every little moment and experience. Wedding planning is joyful, but can also be stressful at times. Kate continued to bring us back to our joy. We had the most magical day, above and beyond what we could have imagined. We were able to be present, knowing Kate and her team had it brilliantly handled.

Hiring Kate and the Tapestry team as our wedding planners was hands down one of the best decisions we made as a couple when planning our wedding. Meeting Kate for the first time as prospective clients was like speaking to an old friend; she made us feel so comfortable and free to be ourselves, something which can still be hard to do as a queer couple navigating the wedding planning industry. Kate was our champion and advocate throughout our planning process. She helped us co-create and refine our wedding vision. We felt so supported throughout the entire process, not just as clients but also as human beings. Kate is a master coordinator and kept us and our vendors on track throughout the entire planning process with online tools for us to track our progress. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives thanks to Kate, her team, and the vendors she coordinated with to create and exceed our wildest visions of what our wedding day could be. We could not recommend Kate and her team more! We recently eloped to the Cascade Mountains (all the way from Chicago) and the entire experience went off without a hitch, thanks to Kate's guidance and wisdom. What was so impressive and special about the experience was Kate's ability to connect with us, even over Zoom meetings, and integrate what we wanted for our elopement with her understanding of how to make that happens. Her and her team really valued building a relationship with us as a couple, which I think was evident in our day and the various personal touches that showed up throughout. She connected us to great people for our other vendors, handled communications and logistics and allowed us to focus on enjoying ourselves. Our elopement truly was so special, intimate and beautiful, thanks to Kate and Chelsea!

I could literally write an entire novel about how amazing Kate and Tapestry is but I will keep it short. I was a covid bride. There were many uncertainties and changes through out our elopement planning. Kate was incredible from the very beginning! She answered the many questions that we had and gave us encouragement when we had to change plans. She was great about reminding us that our elopement was about us and what we wanted. When we have difficulties making decisions she would always ask us “How do you want your day to look?” Which is a phase my husband and I commonly use now. One of my biggest wishes was not only to get married in one of Washington’s national parks but for the place in the park to be beautiful. Kate is extremely knowledgeable about the national parks... Kate also chose the greatest vendors for our elopement. Everyone was professional and welcoming. Kate and the team were also my personal hype team as I was getting ready. Kate officiated our ceremony. After our first look we had a private prayer just me and my husband. This was very important to us. Kate wrote the prayer and it brought me to tears as she read it! As I told the team the day of our elopement, Kate is a genuine soul and just over all amazing. Our elopement was more special than I imagined it to be.

Where to start? We are so incredibly grateful to have found Kate at Tapestry. She was there for us through every twist and turn along the way and not only did it make the wild ride of planning through COVID that much more enjoyable (shocking I know!), but we are coming away from this with a lifelong friend. Kate listens and she expands upon. She values you as people and as a couple and makes sure that you are heard. Her warmth, her grace under pressure, and her wildly generous spirit are unmatched and we are beyond thrilled that she could be the one help us cross that finish line.
